Meet Derk Aukema, Senior appraiser at Spring Valuations

I am Derk Aukema, an enthusiastic and driven Senior Appraiser, currently 30 years old, and I live in the beautiful city of Utrecht. Although I spend my days appraising real estate, fortunately, I still have plenty of time to enjoy my free time. You can often find me on the padel courts, and I’m always up for socializing. I enjoy going out for dinner with friends and organizing fun gatherings. I need to find a good balance between my work and my social life.

Start of my Career

My career started after completing my Real Estate Studies at the University of Groningen. Right after my studies, I began as an intern in the appraisal department at Spring Real Estate. At that time, it was an emerging department where the demand for appraisals for buy-to-let products was growing rapidly. I was allowed to develop myself and became a versatile Registered Appraiser specializing in residential real estate.

Within Spring Real Estate, I have been given the freedom and responsibility to specialize further in my areas of interest. In addition to my registration as an appraiser for commercial real estate, I am currently working towards obtaining my role as a residential appraiser. This additional qualification allows me to perform an even broader range of appraisals and provide clients with advice on property valuation.
