Gijs Klaassen strengthens the Valuations team of Spring Real Estate

Spring Real Estate has strengthened its Valuations team as of 1 February with the appointment of Registered Valuer Gijs Klaassen. With his broad experience in complex real estate valuations, he brings additional expertise to support the continued growth of the team.

Strong academic foundation in real estate

Gijs studied Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Groningen, where he subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Real Estate Studies. During and after his studies, he gained practical experience at a property developer before continuing his career at Savills, where he was active within the valuation practice.

Extensive experience in complex valuation assignments

Following his time at Savills, Gijs joined Deloitte Real Estate. In this role, in addition to regular valuation assignments, he was involved in complex valuation matters for a wide range of clients. Gijs is a Registered Valuer and has experience advising both institutional and private investors, as well as large scale commercial real estate portfolios.

Contributing to the growth of Spring Valuations

The connection with Spring was re established through Dave Hendriks, with whom Gijs previously worked at Savills. Spring’s entrepreneurial culture and the ambition to further expand the Valuations team were key reasons for him to make the move.

At Spring, Gijs will focus on strengthening the Large Cap valuation practice, serving banks, investors and large commercial real estate parties, as well as contributing to the further development of the team and its services.
